"What does it mean to be Japanese art do?"
Since post-modern, art is expressed through the values and historical perspective of various national and ethnic groups not only the values of the United States and Europe. However, the art has been complicit in the neo-liberal values on the other hand. For whom there is a system of art, institutional presence is unclear for anything. This exhibition was called on artists who are asked to cooperate with the CAS. Japan and the Japanese identity is the theme for the artists.

「日本人が美術を行うこととは？」ポストモダン以降、美術は欧米の価値観だけでなく、様々な国家や民族の価値観や歴史観を通して表現され、語られるようになった。しかしながら一方で美術は新自由主義的価値観に加担し、その制度自体が誰の為にあるのか、あるいは何の為にあるのかが曖昧になりつつある。本展はCASに協力していただいている作家達に呼びかけ、各々の作品が日本、或は日本人としてのアイデンティティにどのように関わっているのかをテーマにしたものである。
